Last month OG sneaker brand PONY announced their big comeback to the European shores. It´s no longer gonna be a strictly US thing, and by next week we are introducing this New York City history-packed footwear brand to our swedish and european Shelta supporters. We will set it off in about a week with three classic retro PONY styles, and then in December this year we will drop this exclusive PONY x Dee & Ricky bomb that this blogpost is all about.
Hailing from Staten Island, New York, brotherly tastemakers and creative duo Dee & Ricky is known for projects such as their LEGO crafted accessories and their G-Shock and Marc Jacobs collaborations. Alongside stores like Colette in Paris and Concrete in A´dam, we are happy to be the only store in Sweden providing Dee & Ricky´s next anticipated collab with Products Of New York – PONY. This heavy drop (set to be released first week in December) consists of two creative and colourful styles, the PONY x Dee & Ricky Slam Dunk Mid plus the PONY x Dee & Ricky Topstar Lo. The hightop is actually a slimmer takedown on PONY´s Slam Dunk Mid, and it features a black wooly interchangable upper that allows the wearer to customize the sneaker with the different multi-colored alphabet letter pack and PONY logos that comes with the sneaker box. Add to this the cheetah inner lining and the colorful lace eyelets. The Topstar Lo is one piece of loud lowtop sneaker featuring a multi-colored cheetah printed upper, orange PONY logo, and with a camel tan inner lining. In these times of limited-edition-premium-colab-everything it makes us happy to see interesting and creatively executed projects like this that really stand out among others. Again, this will drop at Shelta first week in December. No pre-orders are available, so stay tuned!
